Emerald Cory / Green Brochis Species Profile:

Common Name: Emerald Cory

Species name: Corydoras splendens

Species Group: Armored Catfish

Origin: South America

Maximum Size: Approx 6-8cm

Diet: Bottom-dwelling omnivores. They love to sift through sand for food. To keep them in peak condition, feed a variety of sinking foods. They go crazy for our TNT Brine Shrimp

Ideal Water temp: 22 - 28 degrees c

PH: 6.0  ->  7.5

Temperament:

Emerald Corys are the "gentle giants" of the Corydoras world. They are peaceful, gregarious, and highly social. Unlike some smaller species that can be shy, Emeralds are quite bold and active during the day. They are best kept in schools of 6 or more; watching a group of these metallic-green catfish "shuffling" across the substrate together is one of the best sights in the hobby.

TNT Notes:

Size is approx 6-8cm - These are fully grown.
