Species name: Panaqolus sp.

Species Group: Pleco

Origin: The waters around Alenquer, near the mouth of the Tapajós River in the Amazon Basin of Brazil, South America.

Maximum Size: Approx 15cm

Diet: L397 Alenquer Tiger Plecos are omnivores that require driftwood as a crucial part of their diet for digestion. Their meals should consist mainly of vegetable-based sinking pellets and fresh vegetables, supplemented with occasional small portions of meaty foods.

Ideal Water temp: 26 - 29 degrees c

PH: 6.0  ->  7.5 

 

Temprement:

L397 Alenquer Tiger Plecos are generally peaceful towards other fish species, making them suitable for community tanks. However, they can exhibit territorial behavior towards other L397s, particularly males, so providing ample hiding places is essential.
