Species name: Symphysodon aequifasciatus (Hybrid)

Species Group: Cichlid 

Origin: Asia (This strain is tank selectively bred)

Maximum Size: Approx 15-20cm

Diet: Blood Red Pigeon Discus are omnivores and require a high-protein diet. Their diet should consist of high-quality Discus pellets or flakes, supplemented with frozen or live foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and beef heart.

Ideal Water temp: 27-30°C

PH: 6.0  ->  7.5 (our Discus are currently in 6.8ph water...)

 

Temprement:

Blood Red Pigeon Discus are generally peaceful and shy fish, especially when kept in appropriate groups. However, they can become stressed or exhibit aggression among themselves if not provided with ample space and sufficient numbers (at least 5-6 individuals)

These are low grade/quality colouration, although the size and body shape is good.
