Common Name: Luminatus Rainbowfish (Red Neon Blue Eye)

Species name: Pseudomugil luminatus

Species Group: Rainbowfish

Origin: Papua, Indonesia

Maximum Size: Approx 4cm

Diet: Pseudomugil luminatus are omnivores in their natural habitat, feeding on small insects, larvae, and possibly some algae or plant matter. In the aquarium, they thrive on a varied diet of high-quality crushed flake food, micro pellets, and frequent feedings of small live or frozen foods such as baby brine shrimp and microworms to maintain their vibrant colors and overall health.

Ideal Water temp: 22 - 28 degrees c

PH: 6.0  ->  7.5 (our Luminatus breed in 7.4ph water...)

 

Temprement:

Pseudomugil luminatus are known for their peaceful and active temperament, making them excellent inhabitants for calm community aquariums. They are social fish that thrive in groups of at least six or more, where they will display their best colors and engage in interesting schooling behaviors; males may also exhibit subtle fin displays to each other.
