Diet: The Swordtail (Xiphophorus hellerii) is an omnivorous species with a natural diet consisting of small insects, algae, plant matter, and tiny crustaceans. In the aquarium, they thrive on a varied diet of high-quality flake or pellet food supplemented with live or frozen foods like brine shrimp and bloodworms, 1 and they also appreciate blanched vegetables and algae wafers.

Temprement:
Swordtails (Xiphophorus hellerii) are generally peaceful and active fish, making them suitable for community aquariums. However, males can sometimes display aggression towards each other, especially in the absence of females or in overcrowded tanks, so it's best to keep them in groups with more females than males and provide ample space and hiding places.
